The project
An international travel catalog, in WordPress.
In 2024, GritoWeb came in as the technical arm, partnering with Agência Azul, to rebuild the Group Collections site. The job was to turn an institutional site into a travel catalog, with every itinerary manageable by their own team and prices converted from dollars to reais automatically.
Group Collections is an initiative by Singularis Turismo, and it works with international group travel: fixed itineraries, led by a Brazilian guide.
The site they had was no longer keeping up with the size of the operation. That's where the rebuild came from.
Our part
Development ours, design by Azul.
The split was clear: Agência Azul handled marketing and design, GritoWeb handled development. We received the brief and the layouts ready, and built the site.
The foundation is WordPress with Elementor on the Hello theme, and that was the client's call, not an accident. Their team was already comfortable with Elementor, and a site the client can't touch on their own is a site that dies in six months. On a decision like that, the first question is who operates it day to day, not which stack looks better on a résumé.
Underneath, the itineraries run on custom fields with ACF. Instead of the team rebuilding each trip by hand inside the editor, they fill in field by field (route, inclusions, pricing, dates) and the template does the rest. A new trip comes out in the same shape as the last one, with nobody having to remember how the previous one was put together.
On top of that, the catalog is organized by continent and travel style, with filters for destination, style, month, and year. There are close to 50 itineraries live today.
The site doesn't close the sale. It captures the contact: the lead is stored in WordPress and goes out by email to the sales team right away.
The detail
The dollar that updates itself.
This is the part we like to talk about.
The packages are negotiated in US dollars, but the person reading the site buys in Brazilian reais. And the exchange rate moves several times a day. Converting by hand would mean updating the entire site around the clock, or leaving a price online that is no longer the price.
We solved it underneath. A script refreshes the exchange rate every 5 minutes. The team enters the package in dollars in the admin, the same way they negotiate it, and the site displays the converted value in reais. Nobody edits a price on any page when the rate moves.
